Mars MEI 2400 Series Bill Acceptor Repair – 2451

The MEI 2400 bill acceptor/validator was rejecting bills.
It did not appear to be the belts, cleaning, etc. Based on it’s symptoms, it had to be something in the logic. It would accept the bill, pause, then return the bill to you. It would not not forward it to the stacker.
Found the 470/35 electrolytic to be the culprit It was leaky, & vented. Problem solved.
Will keep the belt kit aside.

    Robert, your sound went very muffled at the end, you may have a microphone problem on your camera.

    Good Job. I bought a ESR meter kit and yet have had it help me find a bad cap to fix a problem. Alot of people swear by them but in your case you could see that the cap was bad.
